Bio Wikipedia: Ik Ogbonna as professionally known is a born Nigerian talented and handsome Nollywood Actor who was born on 11th January 1984. He is the second born child in the family of four, two girls and two boys.
IK Ogbonna Education
It was in Lagos that IK Ogbonna completed his basic education, both primary and secondary education. While still in secondary school, IK Ogbonna took home his first art-related award when he won the Milo Awards for Fine Arts.
With both the West African senior school certificate (WASSC) and First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC) in the bag, IK Ogbonna pushed forward to obtained higher education at a tertiary institution. This ambition saw him move to study for a degree in Sociology from the prestigious University of Jos. After graduating from his bachelor’s degree program in Plateau State.
IK Ogbonna returned to Lagos to start up a career in whatever industry he could find a job in. IK Ogbonna immediately found a home for himself in Lagos’s bustling entertainment industry.

Acting Career: Since modelling and acting weren’t initially paying as much, IK Ogbonna turned his attention to being a nightclub host. Since he was very popular among the ladies because of his good looks, IK and a few friends pulled in large numbers of ladies to Thursday nights club parties. Before long, he was even allowed to host Thursday ladies night out in some Lagos clubs.
While still hosting these nightclub parties, he met a beautiful lady who immediately befriended him and even offered him a spot in one of her upcoming projects. Interestingly, that lady would turn out to be non-other than Sassy Nollywood Actress and movie maker, Rukky Sanda. Rukky at meeting Ik whom she fondly referred to as “Fine Boy”, promised to give him an acting role in her movie project.
True to her words, Rukky Sanda offered Ik Ogbonna a lead role in a movie that would have stars like Van Vicker and Kate Henshaw playing in it. However, Ik Ogbonna in his words said “I developed cold feet”, and eventually declined a chance to star in that movie. However, he would later accept another acting role from Rukky Sanda in 2013 and officially made his big Nollywood debut in the movie “Lovelorn”. This movie thrust him into the limelight and he started getting a good following from the public, especially on his social media channels.
Unfortunately, he began getting some really poor public ratings for his acting. According to him, “I took the criticism in good faith and worked towards becoming a better actor”. He said that he took to youtube and watched as many acting classes as he could, doing all this in a bid to sharpen his acting talent. This time of self-improvement paid off good and his acting improved tremendously. Before long he was receiving scripts in numbers and as they say, “The rest is History”.
