Haven Life Insurance Review 2023/2024 Insurance Rates

Haven Life offers attractive term life rates to younger term life insurance buyers, but you won’t have access to renew or convert the policy. Here are the advantages & disadvantages of the Haven Life insurance review:

Pros

  • Superior financial strength thanks to its backing by MassMutual or its subsidiary C.M. Life Insurance Co.
  • Online application process.
  • Haven Term policies include the Haven Life Plus rider. This gives policyholders access to free or discounted resources for creating trust and wills, end-of-life planning, and more.

Cons

  • No ability to renew the policy after the level term period or convert it into a permanent policy. These features can be valuable if your health and/or needs change after you buy a term life policy.
  • The maximum face amount of $1 million for no-exam life insurance (up to $3 million with an exam).
  • Rates are very high for buyers in their 50s and 60s.

Haven Life focuses on different types of insurance, which they sell out to those in need of an insurance policy, see the types of Haven Life Life insurance in the following section.

Types of Life Insurance That Are Sold By Haven Life Insurance Review

Initially, Haven Life focused on term life insurance. You won’t see insurances like permanent life insurance policies, like whole life insurance. In this aspect, if term life insurance does not fit your needs, keep on shopping on a list of the best life insurance companies.

Haven Term

A term life insurance policy provides stable rates for a predetermined time frame, such as 30 years.

The main product of Haven Life is called Haven Term, and it comes in terms of 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years. If you’re young and healthy, you might not need to undergo a medical checkup, and it provides coverage of up to $3 million.

In addition, Haven Term offers a quicker death benefit that, in the event of a terminal disease diagnosis, enables policyholders to collect a part of their own death benefit.

Haven Simple

Haven Simple seems to be a simplified issue life insurance policy and is available in 5, 10, 15, and 20-year terms. You can receive coverage of up to $1 million. The age range for applicants for a Haven Simple policy is 20 to 55.

Anyone looking for life insurance without the stress of a life insurance medical exam has the option of using Haven Simple.

The entire application procedure may be finished online in a matter of minutes. If accepted, coverage starts right away.

Haven’s Life Insurance Riders

A life insurance rider enables you to customize your policy with extra features or protection included. Haven Life has about two riders available now, but this is based on your location and policy type. Here’s a bigger view:

  • Accelerated death benefit rider. This rider is available to Haven Term policyholders only. It gives you early access to a portion of your death benefit if you’re diagnosed with a terminal illness—typically 75% of your benefit amount or up to $250,000, whichever comes first. Using the rider could potentially decrease your monthly or yearly premium payment, plus there is a fee of no more than $250 to exercise the rider.
  • Haven Life Plus Rider. This rider from Haven Life is available without extra charge for most Haven Term policyholders. It includes extra bonuses like a digital wall (so you can map out end-of-life wishes), an on-demand fitness app, a 15% discount on services at CVS MinuteClinics, and more. The Haven Life Plus rider is not available in Florida, New York, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Washington.
